He has spent the last 13 years as a full-time law enforcement officer. Dan is a qualified Krav Maga, combat shotgun, less lethal, m4, pistol, and night vision end-user instructor. Dan designs his curriculum by drawing from his high op-tempo experience as a tactical law enforcement officer. He also competes in USPSA, Steel Challenge, and 3-gun. To steal a quote from BRCC CEO Evan Hafer, Dan can best be described as a "Projectile Enthusiast." Dan looks forward to molding the next generation of law enforcement officers and civilian firearms users.
George Syll
Instructor
George is one of our instructors who comes to us from outside the law enforcement community, which lends a different and valuable perspective on firearms instruction and training for our team. He spent his early adult life in the US Army and was assigned to units around the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Throughout nine years of military service, he was promoted, recruited, and tasked with developing training and instructor-level courses for the command group units he was assigned to, as well as holding various leadership roles. Towards the end of 2007, he received a medical discharge and relocated to the Midwest. Shortly after settling in South Dakota, he started pursuing his passion for firearms, competing in numerous 2-gun, 3-gun, USPSA, Action Pistol, and Precision Rifle competitions with a dedicated focus on the precision rifle in 2016. To strengthen his fundamental knowledge, George completed a degree in Firearms Technology and has become a hobbyist gunsmith and avid reloader. As a way to combine his passion for firearms and education, George created the brand 605Precision in 2019, which has allowed him to work with individuals and groups of all skill levels. George is excited to share his passion and knowledge with others while continuing to refine his abilities at WARG.
